Our Herd

Winnie

Winnie will be joining our farm in late fall 2025, once she is weaned from her Mama in Arkansas. We are sure she will be just as cuddly as she looks, and will be a perfect fit for our Hug a Cow experience. This precious mini Highland/Highpark mix is named in loving memory of Charley’s young friend, Katelyn “Winnie” Weirich, who faced a neuroblastoma diagnosis with incredible courage and unwavering faith. Lachlan

With his stunning blue eyes and moon spots, our Norwegian Dwarf goat, Lachlan, is a head-turner at Tiny Hooves Farm. He is small in size and big in personality. Lachlan is named after a small friend who Charley met during her treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Lachlan’s story is one of bravery and survival! At the age of three, he rang the bell with family and friends to celebrate his remission from AML. In the cancer world, age is only a number. Charley and Lachlan were buddies who supported one another daily, tackling leukemia side by side. Lachlan the goat brings adorable energy to Tiny Hooves Farm and Lachlan the person is a reminder that cancer does not always win. Click here to learn more about little warrior Lachlan

Coach Diebler

“Coach” is a mini Silky Fainting goat. From his curly bangs to his bitty hooves, he is definitely the G.O.A.T buck! Coach is named after Ohio State Men’s Basketball coach, Jake Diebler, who connected with Charley after receiving a pair of shoes she decorated for Coaches Vs Cancer Week. Although Charley could not attend the games in person, she cheered on the Buckeyes from her hospital room as Coach Diebler wore her shoes. Will

This little guy is named after Will Howard, former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback, now a Pittsburgh Steeler. His name is a tribute to Will Howard’s advocacy for the National Marrow Donor Program which matches patients in need of a life-saving stem cell transplant with potential donors. After Charley passed away, Will Howard was the star of an NMDP donor drive at The Ohio State University in her honor, encouraging others to join the registry while carrying forward Charley’s motto: I Can Do Hard Things. Our little goat now carries Will’s name and spirit of strength, hope, and giving. Learn more about Will Howard’s NMDP advocacy and the letter he received from Charley here:

Maggie

Maggie is a Valais Blacknose lamb with soft curls and a perfect balance of fluff and sass. When we chose this little one for our farm, we were asked to choose an M name just like the other spring lambs at her farm. The decision was easy- she is named after Charley’s compassionate and dedicated oncologist, Dr. Maggie. This sweet lamb is sure to steal your heart. Sometimes we think she is part puppy.

Honey Biscuit

Meet Honey Biscuit. He is a Nigerian Dwarf goat with a heart of gold, always ready for a playful cuddle. He will walk by your side and charm you with his bouncy moves. Honey Biscuit’s name was chosen by Dr. Rolla, one of Charley’s inspirational oncologists. Charley and Dr. Rolla enjoyed many conversations about unique foods, so it was very fitting that Dr. Rolla chose a foodie name for this little guy. Honey Biscuit is as sweet as his name sounds!

Terri G

Terri G is our grown Mini Silky fainting goat. At her previous barn she was a show goat with an impressive history of winning multiple championship awards. Her flowing hair and cheek muffs are what goat dreams are made of. She is usually one of the first to greet visitors at the farm with her gentle nature and quiet confidence. Terri G is named after Charley’s well-loved oncologist, Dr. G, who works tirelessly to help children and young adults with leukemia achieve remission.

Kalani

Beautiful Kalani is a Valais Blacknose sheep who loves cookies and chin scratches. Kalani is quiet and gentle. She is a nurturer among our Tiny Hooves herd. Although Kalani and our lamb, Maggie, are not related, they share a deep bond. Kalani brings a majestic presence to our farm and has a way of making people feel honored to be in her company.
