Hello! If you are looking for a private experience with a mini cow, you have come to the right place! Come spend 45 minutes with one of our fluffy, friendly cows at Tiny Hooves Farm. Our miniature Highland and Highpark cows are known for their endearing personalities, calming presence, and extra-cuddly appearance - though, like all animals, their personalities and moods can vary from day to day. Hug a Cow is a unique experience that many people find to be therapeutic. Please note that while our cows are small and gentle in nature, they are still cattle - participants should be comfortable around large animals.

Just as parents are protective of their children, we are protective of our farm animals. For this reason, we only run our interactive programming a few days a week with a limited number of guests per session. We ask that you arrive right on time so we can talk about how to behave around the cows and how to handle them properly. This introduction is important for a fantastic experience for both you and your cow.

During your session, you will have a chance to:

  • Offer your cow a few favorite snacks

  • Brush and pet your cow

  • Relax in a farm setting, enjoying the company of your cow

  • Take photos and videos of your experience - No professional photo shoots, please

Cancellation Policy:

When a reservation is cancelled at the last minute, it becomes difficult to fill that space on short notice, resulting in lost opportunities for other guests, for our cows, and for our small farm. Our cancellation policy is in place to maintain the consistency of our farm experiences. At the same time, we realize that everyone is human and life happens. We will do our best to work with you if you must cancel your session.

  • Full Credit/Refund:

    If Tiny Hooves Farm cancels your existing reservation due to unforeseen circumstances we will provide a full refund and will help you reschedule your experience as soon as possible. We will also offer a 15 minute extension to your Hug a Cow session as a thank you for your understanding. 

  • Full Credit/Refund:

    Reservations cancelled 5+ days in advance will receive a full credit/refund, minus processing fee. 

  • 50% Credit/Refund:

    Reservations cancelled 2-4 days in advance will receive a 50% refund, minus processing fee.

  • No Refund/Credit:

If you cancel within 48 hours or do not show up for your Hug a Cow experience as scheduled, a refund/credit will not be issued, but we will gladly work with you to book another session at regular cost.

Things to consider: 

  • For the safety of our guests and our cows, this is an ages 10+ activity. Although our cows are considered small compared to standard cattle, they are heavy animals and can be rambunctious with their bodies and horns. 

  • Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

  • Depending on the weather and the individual needs of our cows on any given day, your Hug a Cow experience may take place inside the barn, in a stall, in our grassy barnyard, or in the pasture. 

  • This experience involves uneven ground, cow slobber, barn and outdoor allergens, and quite possibly cow pee and poop. If you are adverse to any of these icky things, you may want to consider a different activity. If you’re ready for ALL of the messy fun, we hope to see you soon!

Please read this checklist upon registering:

  • Prepare to leave dirty from cow slobber and farm things.

  • Close-toed shoes are a must and jeans are highly recommended.

  • Dresses, skirts and shorts are strongly discouraged.

  • The rain will not stop our fun! In the event of rain, Hug a Cow sessions will still take place and will be moved into the barn.
